GUALA CLOSURES GROUP LAUNCHES WINE DEVELOPERS WEBSITE & – IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MGJ – AN APP TO HELP WINEMAKERS CHOOSE THE RIGHT LINER FOR THEIR WINES

Guala Closures Group will unveil its new  www.winedevelopers.com website, available in five language, at this year’s ProWein.

The website is dedicated to ‘Wine Developers’, an initiative launched by Guala Closures Group for wine producers late last year, which combines the world’s largest family of screwcaps, endless possibilities for decoration and customisation, a new range of liners with different levels of OTR, a local production service from a global network (11 plants in the world dedicated to the wine business) and a sustainable approach.

‘Wine Developers’ has recently been expanded with an additional three liners with further OTR control which have been developed with MGJ – the leading producer of liners for screwcaps in the wine market – and at Prowein will launch the new Oenoseal App, developed to help winemakers choose the most appropriate liners for their wines.

Franco Bove, General Manager at Guala Closures Group, comments, “The new website and innovative App will help every winery find the right solution for their wines.  The options for customisation and branding are wide, and the different models of screwcap – combined with the perfect liner – means we can easily meet the expectations of the winemakers, and respond to even the most demanding packaging requests.”

The Oenoseal App is exclusive to the Wine Developers Guala Closures sales network.  The answers to 20 technical questions will help the winemaker choose the correct Oenoseal product for their wine – either ONYX, IVORY or CORAL.

  • Oenoseal® ONYX® – with an aluminium layer to ensure maximum impermeability to oxygen.  Designed for delicate white wines and aromatic rosés, with a liner that better ensures sulphite-free wines.

  • Oenoseal® IVORY® – ideal for white, rosé and red wines that require a low, but regular, supply of oxygen (nano-oxygenation).  Specifically enables the amount of free SO2 to be reduced when bottling.

  • Oenoseal® CORAL® – designed for white, rosé and red wines which require a more significant supply of oxygen (nano-oxygenation) and enables the avoidance of reduction problems for wines with high tannin levels.
