The judges for this year's Awards sponsored by the MPMA (Metal Packaging Manufacturers' Association) were unanimous in their view that the entries demonstrated an exceptionally high standard of packaging. The Wycap, a smooth cylindrical 31x50mm aluminium closure, won in the "Functionality" and "Closures" section. Already on shelves for Wyborowa, it consists of a plastic inner closure containing all the thread details, along with an integral tamper evident band which protrudes below the base of the aluminium external shell. The smooth externals ensure that any print remains extremely well defined, clean and easily read throughout the life of the pack.
