The show was the opportunity to present the brand new screwcaps for wine customized with the use of the first ever built GCDS printing machine, which combines ink-jet printing technology with other features such as surface treatments, special base lacquers, dedicated UV curing system etc ... and produced in the new facility based in Fairfield, CA.
The Guala Closures Design Studio is a revolutionary concept for the Group and has been developed to offer wineries: in-house artwork creation, no set-up fees, 1,000 custom closures MOQ, 2 weeks lead-time, local production and local customer technical service. During the Unified Wine & Grape Symposium, Guala Closures Group also launches in the US market the Wine Developers value proposition, a global offer developed by Guala Closures Group for wine producers which comprises the largest range of screwcaps, endless possibilities of decoration and customization, a local service fully integrated in global network and a sustainable approach.
Wine Developers now also includes a new range of liners - ONYX®, IVORY® and CORAL® by Oenoseal® , with different levels of oxygen permeability rates for the wine industry, developed through a partnership with MGJ.
Guala Closures Group and Lyon-based MGJ (Manufacture Génerale de Joints) have worked for the last 2 years to develop the Oenoseal® branded technology which extends across all the Guala Closures screwcap family for wines.
