Guala Closures today officially launches Pharma by GC, its newly established, fully dedicated business division for the highly regulated pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging market.
While Guala Closures has historically supplied high-performance closures to selected pharmaceutical clients, the creation of a structured, dedicated division represents a decisive strategic milestone. Initiated as part of the Group's long-term growth plan, Pharma by GC is engineered to meet the global pharmaceutical industry's growing demand for maximum industrial robustness, certified manufacturing quality, and absolute security of supply.
The new division seamlessly combines Guala Closures’ massive international industrial platform—including specialized manufacturing hubs in Poland and India—with the 75-year engineering heritage and deep regulatory know-how of Austrian manufacturer KWK, acquired by the Group in late 2025.

The new division will be showcased for the first time at CPHI Milan 2026 trade fair, taking place in Milan, Italy from 6 to 8 October 2026 (Hall 11, Stand 11K11). In this occasion, Guala Closures will present the division’s new product architecture, structured into two targeted portfolios:
- Care (Prescription Solutions): High-precision, GMP-compliant, and certified ISO 15378 solutions manufactured in ISO 8 cleanrooms, including specialized Child Resistant Closures (CRC), vertical droppers, and diagnostic GL14 closures.
- Vitality (OTC & Nutraceuticals): High-volume, highly customizable plastic and aluminum closures - including ROPP and GPI systems - engineered to ensure tamper-evidence while supporting premium brand differentiation on the shelf.
