ISO 22000 - Food Safety Management Systems

Each plant is required to implement and certify a management system that complies with the basic ISO 22000:2018 standard or similar.

ISO 14001: Environmental Management System.

The Group has, for a considerable time, achieved a corporate certification that provides for the extension of the certification to all plants.

ISO 9001: Quality Management system.

The Group has, for a long period, achieved a corporate certification that provides for the extension of the certification to all plants.

ISO 50001 - Energy Management System.

Implemented in all Italian plants and at the production site in Worms, Germany. The sustainability programme provides for an extension of certification to all Group plants.

ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

Implemented in the production plants of Spinetta Marengo, Termoli, Magenta, Breganze (Italy), Wloclawek (Poland), Kazanlak (Bulgaria), Worms (Germany), Chengdu, Yibin, Luzhou, Guizhou (China), Chambray Les Tours (France), San Josè Iturbide (Mexico), Bridge of Allan (Scotland).

All Group sites are expected to be covered by 2027.

BRC certification

BRC – Global Food Safety standard

Implemented in the production plant in Santiago de Chile (Chile).

ISCC certification

ISCC Plus - International Sustainability and Carbon Certification.

Certification obtained at the Spinetta Marengo (Italy) and Chambray (France) plants. It allows the use of mass balance certified polymers for the production of packaging.

Ecovadis

EcoVadis is one of the most widely recognized international sustainability rating platforms. In December 2025, the new assessment was released, confirming the Gold Medal for the second consecutive year and placing Guala Closures in the TOP 3% of companies in the sector.

100% of production plants accredited by Sedex. Sedex provides guidelines on best practices and ethical audit techniques to help auditors conduct high-quality audits (SMETA) for responsible business practices.
